Forever Yours
Who is the original and who is the copy? Who took the right to do so? More and more people are wearing a mask, and it is difficult to recognize the person behind mask.
Visitors can only enter the Club of «Forever Yours» with a permit. Goljadkin is about to enter the stage. Not everybody will be able to see him – some end up in a bizarre world back stage where the story of the doppelganger begins with direct encounters and dreamlike images. First, there is a report of the Other, the story of which gradually recomposes as the experience of the audience. «Forever Yours» leans heavily on Dostojewski’s novella «The Double». The story appears as an astonishing copy of our online behaviour between self-absorption, hunger for action, and paranoia.
Since the project «Hotel Savoy» that took place in New York und Berlin, Dominic Huber who is known for his hyperrealistic and narrative spatial installations (for instance for «Situation Rooms» by Rimini Protokoll) has been working with the collective SAVOY producing theatrical reality shifts and exclusive audience experiences. The Gessnerallee last showed his «Warten auf die Barbaren».
