HULK
Named after the green cartoon character whose physical strength grows with his rage, Diederik Peeters will do his best to go totally crazy. At the peak of intense frustration and a violent outburst a drastic change in his perception of reality kicks in – it is this kind of frustrated rage that sparked the idea for his performance.
In «Hulk» Diederik Peeters shares the stage with Nada Gambier but this piece is far from being a duet. «Hulk» is a proper ensemble work in which lighting, sound, set design and even the costumes stand their ground as equal counterparts. With great passion for playing with codes of reception, archetypical images and absurd situations Peeters takes pleasure in turning meanings and mechanisms that are associated with uncontrollable frustration upside down.
