Oliver Frljić
In «I Hate The Truth!» director Oliver Frljić stages traumatic events that happened in his family. Born in Travnik (Bosnia), Frljić was left behind in the post-Yugoslav war by his parents who emigrated to the USA.
Today, four actors perform his family history. The audience is seated squarely around a space in which the actors who play his father, mother and sister complain to the director and son actor that the story was different and that all this cannot be said or performed in public in this way. They pull out of their dialogues, they call the author to account, they fight about meanings and experience all the episodes of love, of work, the outbreak of war, as if it were happening right now.
