Within a few days during February 2012 Maja Pelević and Milan Marković joined seven different political parties in Serbia. After a short period of time they were invited into the various cultural committees. They applied for the memberships with a dossier in which they described their idea of a cultural marketing strategy. All the parties received the text favourably. No one noticed, however, that it was based on Joseph Goebbels’s speech «Knowledge and Propaganda» from 1928. The performance «they live» works with the experiences the two theatre makers from Belgrade made in the context of this artistic project with the political system of their country.
