Baushtellë: Balkan Temple
«What do you believe?» – this is the basic question that the project «Baushtellë: Balkan Temple» explores.
During a ten weeks long journey, the Baushtellë crew and fifteen artists from Switzerland, Kosovo and Serbia question what makes us human and how our belief in concepts such as love, money, religion, nationality or art influence our conscious and our unconscious actions.
At the end of the journey the insights, confessions, discourses and conflicts are presented in large performances in Pristina, Belgrade and Zurich. The artists each chose the form of their expression themselves, be it dance, theatre, visual art, light or sound, for instance. The performances last six hours and happen together with local artists from the three cities. All the works together generate «Baushtellë: Balkan Temple» which will move into the Fraumünster church in Zurich.
