You're Not Alone
We’re born alone, we live alone, we die alone. Only through our love and friendship can we create the illusion for the moment that we’re not alone.
Orson Welles
Actually, the enfant terrible of the British performance and revue scene confronts us with a simple issue in his show «You're Not Alone»: Kim Noble wants to make friends. Sounds pretty innocent, but it’s not. He transgresses any limits of intimacy you can imagine, and unveils secrets of strangers you’d prefer not to know. He stalks the man from the supermarket cashier, calls phone numbers found in grubby motorway restrooms, and he won’t rest until he can – for a short moment – overcome his loneliness. He opens the abyss of human vulnerability in a funny way and thereby turns this work into a touching and horribly funny experience.
Kim Noble is a genius. Time Out
Just how annoying is Kim Noble? NY Times
Kim Noble, the renowned and controversial performance and video artist form the UK has been awarded the Perrier-Award as part of the comedy duo «Noble and Silver» and has been nominated for the BAFTA. He appeared as a guest in the cult series «Mighty Boosh» and «Garth Marenghis Darkplace».
«You're Not Alone» is on tour internationally, and has already visited the Gessnerallee at our Festival Keine Disziplin in 2013. The work was received so enthusiastically by our audience that we decided to show it again so even more people can see it.
