Walking:Holding
A woman with a shaved head takes you by the hand. A 6’ 5 drag queen walks with you while you are passing by a church. A youth wearing a black hoodie puts his arm around you while you are sitting on a bench together. A white-haired woman kisses you three times goodbye.
«Walking:Holding» is a subtle, experimental stroll through your city in the hands of strangers. People of different ages and looks, with different sexualities and origins. What happens when you are suddenly part of a minority and what can come from the encounter of two strangers in public?
The performance artist Rosana Cade lives in Glasgow and has been developing one-to-one performances, has worked with groups of non-professional performers and with family members and shows her work in theatres but also in clubs and bars. «Walking: Holding» has been performed in Glasgow, Brighton, Birmingham, Sheffield, Ipswich, Cork, Dublin, Hong Kong, Lissabon and Amsterdam.
