For many years, Gilles Jobin has been one of the most innovative Swiss choreographic voices, an internationally successful wanderer on the boundary between dance and performance. His latest production FORÇA FORTE can now be discovered at its premiere, which is part of the Migros Culture Percentage Dance Festival Steps. In this intimate duet, Jobin transfers scientific and technical ways of working and thinking to the artistic process, carrying out a deconstruction of a relationship, immersed in all colours of the spectrum. In so doing, he explores the complex forces that act between people. This is by no means a dry, didactic affair, because in the implementation, he masterfully draws on the entire range of theatrical means. He combines movement, space, sound, film and light to create a multilayered whole with great intensity and expressiveness, whereby reality and virtual images blend together. We are taken on a sometimes futuristic, sometimes crazy, passionate expedition, which stimulates thoughts in many directions.
