The Art of a Culture of Hope (2)
/ A Space for Hope
Hope dwindles when we take a look at the future: climate catastrophes, peak oil, wars, migration, financial uncertainty, nationalism, attacks on human rights, fighting fear through drones and bombes.
J&J refuse to be ruled by a policy of fear. Therefore, they start a long term exploration of our value system: they initiate a dialogue about fear and ask where there is hope, or, in other words, where there is room for the potential of our society. Based on this dialogue they create the «Archive of Hope». Later, and with YOUR support, they will propose a law that they want to pass into the Swiss Constitution per political initiative: a law that guarantees a culture of hope for Switzerland.
Hope is not the conviction that something will turn out well, but the certainty that something makes sense, no matter how it turns out.

A Space for Hope
J&J and a group of local associations, civil fora, networks of solidarity, Zurich based artists and school classes discuss hope and fear and thereby want to create a first step towards the success of a new law for a culture of hope.
Additional contributions will be posted early June at www.theartofacultureofhope.com and at www.gessnerallee.ch.
