Miet Warlop is back! With her garishly nasty comic spectacle «Mystery Magnet» and her bleak one-woman show «Dragging the Bone», she landed two hits in Zurich and delighted our public. With «Fruits of Labor», she makes a link to her previous work and shows a zany crossover comprised of performance, concert, and visual arts.
Warlop shares the stage with three musicians, a roadie, and staged sculptures. She relays beats and songs via objects, theatrical machinery, and the body, and eventually the whole stage (or world) is an instrument. Despite all ist wackiness, this psychoactive parade of objects (with great songs and an opera aria) is also an artistic response to a world gone haywire. However, it's a reaction that does not back down, but rises up loudly and explosively against all restrictions and standards.
