For more than 20 years, the Congo War has transformed an area the size of western Europe into hell on earth. The conflict is about control over abundant supplies of natural resouces including the most important deposits of raw materials used in high-tech industry, and despite millions of dead the perpetrators go unpunished. In the middle of the eastern Congolese civil war zones, Milo Rau brought together victims, perpetrators, witnesses, and analysts of the conflict in a unique civilian tribunal.
Marking the cinema release, we will present a special feature of the documentary film The Congo Tribunal, accompanied by a virtual reality installation and symposium with prominent guests.
