The Future Clinic for Critical Care FCCC is a forum hosted by The Battlefield Nurse, Jeremy Wade's cranky drag muse who is a 5000-year-old hooker, healer and midwife for the dying (and the living-dead). She is super critical about the way care has been coopted in the violent present. FCCC is a socio-cultural animated practice actively exploring the messy politics of care. From small formats in community centers, to workshops in a studio near you, to large three-day symposiums AND NOW …we are setting up shop for another clinic in alternative to the mainstream ZURICH PRIDE PARADE on JUNE 16th!! AAAHHHH!!!
That's right, this edition of FCCC will be doing justice to the legacy of the LGBTQ* Civil Rights Movement by celebrating an expansive/alternative response to the pink washed mainstream LGBTQ* pride parade in Zurich. We have been focusing on building super diverse coalitions of care representing Mad, Disability, Refugee and LGBTQ* Pride. We don't want mainstream inclusion, we want a revolution.
Join us on June 16th at Provitreff!! Starting at 19:00 - 21:00 h where we will have a huge free BBQ on the river. From 21:00 - 22:30 The Battlefield Nurse will host a rally on stage in the club called, "PRIDE Is A Battlefield, The War Is Not Over Until Everyone's Cared For!" The rally is a platform, a drag show, an engine of solidarity with nine super charged queer interventions on stage from local activists, performers, artists, Drag Queens and social workers who are all processing the complicated politics of care and dreaming otherwise about an expansive understanding of LGBTQ* PRIDE. Finally, dance all night with us to DJ's NINA NANA, DJ Oder Ned and DJ Aramiss!
