Antigone
Ann Liv Young
In her new work, performance artist Ann Liv Young explores the history of Antigone, focusing on the 1948 version by Bertolt Brecht, which premiered in Chur and afterwards was staged in Zurich. Thereby she shows how our current political climate is reflected in Brecht's questions about individual and collective scope for taking action in the face of fascism. Young questions the role, relationship, and responsibility of the individual vis-à-vis the state: What can an individual do?
