Invest in Me!
/ The Aesthetics of Believing in Being Able to Change the World
Thom Truong
It has been a long time that a movement claimed to want and be able to change the world. Now there is such a movement – they call themselves Social Entrepreneurs and they don’t want to change the world in a collective and political sense, but with entrepreneurial means. The kids from 68 planned the big social revolt but got lost in endless discussions. The Social Entrepreneurs, however, don’t want to talk but «undertake»!

To convince others of one’s own vision is an artistic activity since something has to be represented that does not yet exist. This can only happen with aesthetic means, including visuals, narration and performance. Thom Truong brings together Social Entrepreneurs and representatives of various art disciplines who prepare them for their convincing performance. In «Invest in Me!», the Social Entrepreneurs come on stage to convince the audience as well as real investors of their visions. Both are invited to invest time and money into them.
