...die keineswegs letzten Piraten
LUKAS UND
«Disloyal after making a promise and incapable of either keeping or going back from my word, I sincerely promise that I am a pirate.»
D. Heller-Roazen
We promise that a ship will be coming in: a sloop for each and everybody. Our ship is a place of hope and a place for a new beginning, it is the scene of action, trade area and a dream of a cruise ship. We leave the mainland of facts for an ocean of possibilities and search for our luck in a vastness that stretches up to the horizon, behind our eyelids. Laughing at the crown we sail under the flag of the untamable, ready to weather the storms, to loot and drink and to fill our camps with gold and stories. And while they pile up the bodies, we say: That’ll learn ya.

«...die keineswegs letzten Piraten» moves between a yearning for order and an illusion of freedom. The decision to create a political and aesthetic room of their own leads them into damnation, far away from any societal contract floating somewhere on the ocean. Forever immune. Forever?
LUKAS UND met in Giessen where they attended the school of applied theatre studies. Now they feel that Düsseldorf is their home port. Their special interest lies in the technical conditions of theatre, in the illusionary stage magic and in football. Six people and a dog measure the distances between functional action and the production of imagery, they test the limits of theatre as an illusionary space while they struggle with the abysses of diffidence.
