The «Musyck Boexken Danserye» by Thielman Susato, a collection of notes for dance music was intended for performance parties around 1551. This renaissance treaties gives insights into a way of thinking in which the borders between music and dance dissolve.
Together with eight musicians and dancers the young choreographer Sebastian Matthias and the composer Michael Wolters transpose the party context of the tractate into a contemporary dance performance. The visual artists Awst & Walther create a corresponding installation space that actively includes the spectators and thereby transports this music-dance-party from the 16th century in our present time.
