Sylphides

Three large, dark, air-filled bags are lying on stage. A helper with a diabolic blink of the eye starts a suction pump. The air is drawn out of the bags. The grey covers deflate and delineate human shapes who lie there for a terribly long time. Only their torsos lift and lower slightly. They are still alive.
