SCHAU – Theatertreffen Festival of School Theater in Swiss Gymnasiums brings fifteen theater groups from all parts of the country to Zurich and celebrates the diversity of school theater. The range of invited works extends from Homer to Molière and on to Jelinek and from the staging of classical works to adaptations and beyond to the development of experimental pieces. But that’s not all. In addition to varied performances at Gessnerallee Zürich, Theatre of the Arts of the Zurich University of the Arts, and on stages at the partner schools in Zurich, Theatertreffen also offers numerous events for meeting and exchange, including a festival brunch, various workshops for the members of the invited theater groups, and a two-day event conference for professionals («Practices of Critique – Qualification Profiles»).
