Each year the number of victims of the popular disease called burnout is rising. Most of them are actually in the middle of their most efficient years. The economic losses through burnout are enormous, experts disagree over definition, causes, measures and therapies.

Can burnout be understood as a consequence of changing labour conditions and more complex challenges? Can a tai-chi therapy in the countryside or rather a space for rest within the firm be a solution? Does the classification as psychological illness even grasp the extent of the phenomenon? Or is it a societal problem of a distorted self-perception?
